What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic procedure using a surgical scalpel that removes dead skin layers from the skin as well as any peach fuzz. Procedure
Your practitioner will begin by removing any makeup and then double cleansing. The cleanser will be massaged into the face using circular motions to remove any remaining makeup and dirt. This process is repeated in order to perform a double cleanse which ensures that the face is dirt and oil free before the main event – the Dermaplaning exfoliation treatment. Next, your Dermaplane practitioner will use a surgical blade at a 45 degree angle to remove peach fuzz and dead skin cells hence performing deep exfoliation of your skin. During this stage you will feel a light scraping on your skin – this is the peach fuzz being shaved off along with dead skin cells and dirt. The Dermaplaning procedure is completely pain free and relaxing. Your practitioner will work their way around areas of the face, working on one area at a time, covering the whole face to just below the jawline, which is where you will have the most peach fuzz.
Once the Dermaplaning procedure is completed, your practitioner will use a toner to remove any remaining debris and go in with a moisturiser massaging in circular motions followed by a skin balm and finally finishing of with SPF.
Downtime
Following your treatment you can return to your normal daily activities. There is no downtime associated with this procedure.
